We put ceiling fans in every room of our house so in summer, when it gets really hot and humid out, we can keep the central air a couple of degrees warmer and then just use the fan in what room(s) family members are actually in. We’ve also replaced standard light bulbs with high efficiency ones.

To save on utility bills we use the central air very sparingly and always turn off lights and computers when not in use.

I save on our utility bills, by turning off lights during the day when it is bright out and running ceiling fans and keeping the thermostat at 80 degrees when it is hot outside.

I try to make sure my family doesn’t waste resources. We turn off lights or electronic equipment we’re not using. We open the windows instead of putting on air conditioning (or put on an extra sweater in the winter instead of turning up the heat). We try not to leave water running when we’re not using it!
