Norah Jones‘ new album, …Featuring, is a star-studded collection of the multi-platinum selling, multi-Grammy Award winning singer’s musical collaborations from the past decade.
When the CD first arrived in the mail, I wasn’t sure If I was going to like it.  How could one artist smoothly transition from jazz to countryhip-hop to rock?  I mean could she really go from Willie Nelson to Q-tip?

The answer was a resounding YES.  Her voice is so smooth, that after listening to this CD I am convinced she can sing with ANYBODY and have it sound beautiful.

Even though I am a rocker (like hard rock like Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin, Sevendust etc) the song that got stuck in my head the whole day after I first heard the CD was Baby It’s Cold Outside – Willie Nelson featuring Norah Jones.  Maybe It’s because its getting really cold out and I would rather sit by the first than go out but the way her sweet voice sounded with Willies rougher one worked perfectly.  I don’t know why I haven’t heard this rendition before but it is perfect for the upcoming holidays!

I also really love the cool flow of Life Is Better – Q-Tip featuring Norah Jones. I am pretty sure that I had heard this song before but I never knew it was Norah Jones singing the female part!

I have also heard the song Soon The New Day – Talib Kweli featuring Norah Jones, and loved it, but I never knew that it was Norah singing on that track either!
