May 23, we picked up the keys to our new townhouse and began moving in.  My mom flew in the following Wednesday to help us unpack.

My mom and I

By Saturday evening we were pretty much settled and unpacked with one exception – our Buffalo Bills couch. It simply would not fit down the basement stairs to go into Tony’s Man Cave! We took the door off, the railing off and it just wouldn’t fit down the stairs!

I cannot begin to explain how frustrated I was.  My mom told us that once before she had that happen and her and my father broke the wood on the back of the couch to get it to fit and then just attached a new piece of wood to the back.  We don’t want to break our couch, but we don’t want to get rid of it either. Luckily it fits in the living room – for now.  We don’t want to think about it for a few more days. We really want to organize the basement better before we bring the couch down anyway. Tony already has a recliner in his man cave so he has something to sit on while watching TV. We have a lot of holiday boxes, tools and my stockpile of bathroom stuff we want to sort through and organize on shelves. We have a few small shelves, but we will definitely need more.

Here are some pictures, for more make sure you check out my facebook page!

I”m so gald your settling in! Somehow, some way you’ll get that couch down there! If theres a will, theres a way 🙂
From what I see, it looks like a really beautiful home. And I’m sure the cats are loving to explore the new rooms and such!
