A Year in Reviews: What worked, What didn’t (Part 1)

For Part 1 of this series I will be going back to the reviews I did in January 2011 and re-evaluating them.

The jury is still out on whether or not Homeopathic medicines are effective.  I did notice an improvement when I used the Coldcalm.  ColdCalm is the one for sneezing, runny nose, sinus and nasal congestion and a minor sore throat.  Maybe it was really working, or maybe my cold had run its course and was winding down anyway.

Tony and I both had tried the Oscillo which is for flu-like symptoms.  I remember it tasting like big sugar crystals.   I was taking heavy duty over the counter stuff at night and on days off, and taking the Oscillo when I was at work.   I don’t know if it shortened the length of our flu or if it was all in our heads.

I still have some of the Bioron value pack products and wouldn’t be opposed to using them the next time we got sick, but I’m not sure if I would go out and buy them on my own. There are other brands that I know make me feel better, and help clear up whatever is ailing me.

After the review, I didn’t purchase the product. I never actually saw it in stores, but then again I wasn’t going out of my way looking for it.  I can’t afford to take something that leaves me groggy in the morning, which is what the RelaxZen night did.  As for the Relax Zen day, I would have to of have more than just the one sample bottle they sent to truly evaluate whether or not it actually made me feel less anxious. With only one sample bottle it is hard to determine whether or not I just had a good day a work, or if the RelaxZen really played a roll.

I still love these bowls. Since we have an automatic feeder that dispenses food, we use these dishes mostly for water – and wet food on occasion. Jewel developed a bad habit of drinking out of the toilet when we moved into our new place this past May, so we now keep a Dolce Dish in the bathroom filled with fresh clean water.  She will just sit there staring at it if the water needs changed, or isn’t very cold. I love that these bowls still don’t skid across the floor as the cats are eating or drinking – and that I can pop the metal bowl out of the base for easy cleaning!
