I received a free product in exchange for an honest review.
I recently had the pleasure of receiving Beauty By Shea 100% Organic Raw Unrefined African Shea Butter by Healthy Life Essentials for free, for review purposes.
Beauty By Shea 100% Ivory Organic Raw, Unrefined Shea Butter is imported directly from Ghana, and is 100% pure and natural, nothing else added! (* I do NOT know what agency certifies that this product is 100% organic because the packaging doesn’t say*.)
Shea butter is naturally rich in essential vitamins for beautiful skin, including Vitamins, A, E, F & K. This makes it perfect for topical use on your skin or hair. You can even add it to homemade soaps, lotions and other beauty products!
Besides a superior moisturizer, Shea butter claims to be a powerful healing agent for the following skin ailments:
- eczema
- dermatitis
- stretch marks
- dry skin and hair
- insect bites
- psoriasis
- acne
- cracked skin
- itchy skin
- muscle fatigue and tension
- rheumatism
- arthritis
- sunburns
- skin allergies and rashes
- scars and dark spots
- skin blemishes
- wrinkles
My face got sunburned pretty bad few weekends ago at the Buffalo Bills Home Opener, and after reading about all the healing properties of Shea Butter I decided to try it out on my face. I would take a small bit off of the brick of shea at a time and rub it between my fingers to warm it up. It only took a few seconds to get soft enough to apply to my face. The Shea Butter absorbed quickly and it left my face feeling soft, not greasy. I put it on in the evening, and by morning my face was still soft, and the redness from the sunburn was going away. My lips were feeling a little dry so I applied some Shea butter and they stayed moisturized almost the entire day. Tony was complaining how bad his ears were peeling from them being burnt, and I told him he should have been using the Shea Butter! I have also been using the Shea butter on my legs after shaving, and it leaves them feeling really smooth!
