Slickdeals has all the ads and deals for Black Friday in their Black Friday guide.

We usually get up early to go shopping. Three years ago we had never been out before and Kohls opened at 4 so we got there at 3:45 and there was not one spot to park. we drove around back since there was a field back there where other people were parking but then Tony had a better idea. Drop me off right in front at 4 and I ran in grabbed what we needed while he found a spot and got in line. We literally waited hours to check out. It was terrible. Everyone was so hot and miserable because everyone was all bundled up because it was snowing pretty bad out. Luckily workers started passing out candies and other snacks.

After that, we were always prepared.  The following year we went to Walmart to get one a flat-screen tv.  They opened at 4 and we had to be in line before 3. Everyone was lining up at the main entrance ( they also had one near the grocery side and one at the other end near the gardening stuff).  Workers were handing out maps since they spread all the big-ticket items out.  The Tv we wanted was in one of the frozen food aisles. The vacuum was over by the pots and pans.  As 4 am drew closer more and more people started gathering in the parking lot in a handicapped spot right across from the door.  The Walmart employees told them that if they thought they were going to cut in front of everyone who had been waiting in line that it would be very rude that they should go get in line. Of course, the people refused saying that there were no “rules” to where you could wait. However, the workers didn’t give them maps so they had no idea that all the items were spread out – Actually only about the first 200 people in line were giving maps. So, of course, this group of people ran in like a mob all holding hands shoulder to shoulder blocking the door for most people and headed to the back near electronics. Well, I ducked under their hand-holding and ran to the right, behind the cash registers, cut up a check out lane and was one of the first people over to the Skid of TVs we wanted. I pulled one off dragged it to a different aisle and sat on it until Tony found me – He was in charge of getting the cart. We went over to the Gardening center and there were 4 cashiers just standing there – There was NO LINE! Everyone just assumed only the main registers were open! By 4:15 we were at a diner eating breakfast.  We dropped the tv off at home, wet to Kohls around 6 after the mad rush had died down.  Last year for some reason I can’t remember where we went! For some reason I think went out separately – I vaguely remember Tony showing me the Hoodies he got for his nephews at Kohls.

Have you gotten up early just to score a hot deal? Do you have a Black Friday Horror story?
