Assembly of the Cat Hammock
When I first opened the box, I thought it was going to take me hours to assemble this cat hammock.
After I laid out all the pieces, it was actually pretty easy to see how it all fit together. I put it all together in probably less than 10 minutes. As you can tell by the photo below, Oliver “helped”.
While labeling the wood pieces would have made it easier to figure out which piece was what, I think it would have damaged the wood, and taken away from overall look of the bed.
Features of the Cat Hammock
This hammock may be made for cats, but it’s truly a piece of fine furniture. The frame is made from solid hard maple — no cheap particle board, plywood, or plastic. The wood has a clear finish so its natural beauty shows through. 
Other materials include sturdy chains and other hardware of polished steel ,and the soft fabric of the hammock bed itself. They even included a little blanket! You can put the blanket over the hammock bed, or if your cats are truly spoiled, you can use it to tuck them in! The blanket is machine washable, making it easy to clean. We have our swing-limit cords as tight as they will go, until the cats get used to getting in and out of the hammock.
Our living room is all shades of brown, so the bed actually matches our living room perfect!We all have pet furniture that looks like pet furniture. This cat hammock looks a lot more expensive than it really is, it is quite stylish and elegant.
Our Cats thoughts on the Cat Hammock
Harley and Jewel seem unsure of it and quickly jump off after I put them in it.Oliver took to it right away. He doesn’t always even make it all the way in. Sometimes he puts the front half of his body on it, and just has his back feet and bum on the floor. Oliver loves having things tight on his sides, so this cat hammock suits him.
Jewel and Harley often will walk over and check out the cat hammock, but they don’t seem to know how to get in it. I think a few more weeks of watching him and they will start trying it out for themselves.
