We received a free box of ARM & HAMMER™ Clump & Seal™ MicroGuard™ Cat Litter to review, for free. When I first poured the litter into the litter box, I did notice some dust, but no more than other brands I have tried. However, I did notice it is a lot LESS dusty when scooping clumps up than other brands. The Plant-derived particles help really do create rock solid clumps for easy scooping. I haven’t had to worry about any urine clumps breaking apart as I am scooping them out.
This litter also is made with fine micro-particles, which allegedly feel softer to your cat. I can’t tell if my cats think it is softer, but the particles are visibly smaller than other brands of litter, so it seems plausible.
We have this litter in on litter box, and have two different kinds in the three other litter boxes. The ARM & HAMMER™ Clump & Seal™ MicroGuard™ Cat Litter has the tightest clumps by far. It was a feature we loved when we reviewed the original ARM & HAMMER™ Clump & Seal™. As for odor control, since we only have the MicroGuard in the one box, it is hard to tell from far away which box has the odor, but once you get close, it becomes more obvious. The litter boxes with different brands in them are noticeably stinkier. We still have a problem with Jewel not covering her feces, so the litter doesn’t really get a chance to encapsulate the odor, but it does do a pretty great job with her urine, which she also usually fails to cover since it clumps so fast.
