Most of the Iris’s we had last week have dropped their petals but more of my lilies have bloomed and the foxglove are already attracting Hummingbirds with their trumpet-shaped flowers!

Flowers… are a proud assertion that a ray of beauty outvalues all the utilities of the world. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Absolutely beautiful! Foxglove was in the news here recently. It’s beautiful, and so common (at least in our area) and toxic-who knew.
Thanks for pictures that brightened my day.
Peace and good (and karmablogger love)

If we touch the flowers or leaves we come in and wash/scrub our hands because we have heard the same thing. We knew humming birds liked them, but the finches love sitting on them too – so much so we had to stake them to keep them from flopping over!
