I received a free product coupon in exchange for this honest review.

When I first received my free coupon for Family Finest  Make-N-Bake Pizza Kit I had trouble locating them in my local Wal-Mart.  The coupon said to check the dairy section so that is where I headed first.  I  couldn’t find them anywhere!  I went back a few days later and decided to look harder (or at the very least ask an employee where they were).  This time I found them underneath the crescent roll type tubes and cookie dough.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

They are available in both cheese and pepperoni as well as a cookie version.  My Wal-Mart only had the Pepperoni Pizza version in stock, which was fine because that was the one I was going to get anyway!

The Make N Bake Pizza Kit offers all the ingredients you need to make four pizzas in one distinctive, convenient package. The Make-N-Bake Pizza Kit is fun for the whole family to make together at dinner, for an after school snack, a kid’s party, during the big game or in a college dorm room.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI love that you can make anywhere from one to four pizzas at a time!  The pepperoni and cheese bags are resealable and the sauce packs and dough are individually wrapped.  I believe these were $5.49 at my local Wal-Mart which isn’t bad considering you are getting 4 individual pizzas.

Now when the PR firm first approached me about reviewing these pizzas I remember her writing that they were “actually quite good”.   I thought they were just going to be ok, but it turns out she was right, they are pretty awesome tasting!  I do wish it had a tad bit more sauce but it is in no means a deal breaker.  It surprisingly came with plenty of cheese.  I like a lot of cheese and feared that by the time the last pizza was made, I would be out of cheese, but  surprisingly I had enough left for a few more pizzas!  I hate waiting for my oven to heat up, so when I made each pizza, I popped it in the toaster oven at 450° for about 8 minutes.  Each and every time the crust came out perfect.  It was just getting crusty on the edges, and was evenly cooked across the whole pizza.   The sauce surprisingly had a pretty good flavor, although I like things spicy so I added some crushed red pepper flakes.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThese pizzas are PERFECT for me when I am working 12 hour shifts.  When I get home, I don’t want to spend time cooking a whole meal – I want something fast and easy.   I would get home, make the pizza, pop it in the toaster oven, go upstairs to change, go through any mail and voilà! Dinner was done.   One pizza was honestly enough food to serve as a meal.  Sure I snacked later on, but I do that pretty much every night regardless of what I eat for dinner.   One night Tony was like “oh your eating the pizza again? It must be pretty good”.  Um, yeah! It is!  I wouldn’t keep eating them if they were gross!  OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
