So what did our trio of felines think of Groovy Gravy?
Harley seemed to like the Sweet Potato, but the other two cats wouldn’t even try any of the flavors. We even tried wiping some on Oliver’s paw, hoping he would lick it clean, but all he did was wipe his paw on the rug.
Prior to the video, we had tried mixing some groovy gravy into Jewels regular food when she went two meals without eating. She still refused to eat, and the boys wouldn’t eat her food either. Luckily a little organic canned pumpkin got Jewel to eat again, and took care of her constipation. I thought maybe they didn’t want the gravy mixed with their food, so that is why for the video, I put it by itself on a plate.
Usually our cats don’t have a problem with any food we give them, although we have learned Oliver gets sick when he eats Salmon. There are plenty of other reviews by pet bloggers where their cats and dogs love Groovy Gravy.
As far as the ingredients goes, I wasn’t sure why there was brown sugar was an ingredient in two of the cat flavors. I read on another blog that was reviewing these gravy’s that they were told that the manufacture included brown sugar because “other coloring additives were illegal in Canada and we were backed in to brown sugar as it’s a more natural option”. I am pretty sure my cats don’t care what color their food is, besides they don’t need the extra sugar.

My dog and cats love Groovy Gravy! I have one cat who will eat anything, and one who is really picky. They both go nuts for the gravy. My dog likes it too, but he’s not exactly picky.
