Guria Beachwear was launched in 2007 by Camila Ckless, a “guria” (a “girl” in South Brazilian slang) who decided to follow her heart and create a business inspired by her passion for the beach and fashion.

Guria Beachwear was born in Brazil, where the nights are warm and summer is eternal. They carry a wide array of mix-and-match separates including triangles, halters, bandeaus and under-wire tops paired with low-cut American and Brazilian bottoms create a selection of distinctive and detail-rich suits that make any fashionista swoon.

You’ll see luxurious details, exclusive embellishments and hardware, texture and marine-inspired prints encompassed in a color-rich and bohemian-chic style. Guria bikinis highlight exclusive silver and 14k gold plated hardware.

All of their product lines offer a lot of versatility. For example, the 3-in-1 Chick Top can easily be changed from a triangle, to halter, to bandeau. They also offer a reversible bandeau that is made with a special pad that will not wrinkle or loose its shape. Guria’s new sliding charms can be used 2 ways: one side features an elegant and classy silver or gold hardware, while the other is a mix of metal and colors or a unique texture, always matching the bikinis!

Each of their collections was created with the customer in mind, fashioning suits for every type of woman. While most other swimwear brands cap sizes at C cups, Guria offers Brazilian-cut suits accommodating up to an F cup, so woman will be turned away by the trauma of bikini shopping.

I chose to review the Sandbar Navy – Double Straps Triangle and Foldover Bottom.  Blue is my favorite color so I was instantly drawn to this pattern.  The fabric  is 85% Nylon, 15% Spandex.

Sandbar Navy - Double Straps Triangle and Foldover Bottom and bag

The Double Straps Triangle Top neck ties feature small 14K gold plated rings. Top also comes with removable cups  for a flattering fit.  The bottom features a fold down band at waist for a flattering fit. Waistband has cinch details at front and back for a modern look. Bottom can be worn as low or high waist which I love.

I wish the remove-able cups were more padded because, while they do cater to the large busted woman, I am not one of them.  I still love how the top fits and would be comfortable wearing it to the beach!

There is also a small gold dangling “g” on the back of the bottoms for added detail

I love that you can order the tops and bottoms separately! I need a much smaller top than bottom! Sometimes in stores it is really find to find both sizes I need in the same pattern!

Retail prices range from $60 to $78.75 for suit separates and $98.75 to $112.50 for cover-ups and are available in sizes XS – XL with cup sizes fitting up to F.

Stay tuned; there will be a giveaway during the Summer Splash event!

I think that the suit you got is my favorite! I love that Guria has larger top sizes. My husband is Brazilian and would LOVE for me to wear a Brazilian bikini, but all the other brands made in Brazil have TINY tops! Seriously, the largest size you can get is B-cup-ish -no good for someone like me 🙁 But these are beautiful and it’s great that you can mix-and-match sizes! Thanks for the great review!
