Yes! There are fruit snacks that can be healthy! A lot of the fruit snacks you see in the aisles of your supermarket are so jammed pack with sugar, food coloring, and other ingredients that even though they might have some fruit juice in them, they are no longer healthy.

That is when Matt and Travis Betters entered the scene. The brothers capitalized on the U.S. trend of freeze-dried fruit in cereals and coupled that with consumers’ food concerns like portion size, calorie count and desire for healthy choices to create their own line of freeze-dried products that would change the snack market.

Matt and Travis know that many consumers are concerned about common food allergens. Their products are peanut/tree nut-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free, wheat-free, non-GMO, vegan and kosher.  Brothers-All-Natural is very proudly ISO9001 certified, HACCP certified, CIQ inspected and OHSMS8001 certified. I really love supporting American companies, especially when they are based in my area!  Brothers International Food Corporation is a privately owned food and beverage company based in Rochester, New York.  They also have offices in Raleigh, North Carolina; Qingdao, China; and Quito, Ecuador.

You can find their products at Amazon, Costco, Whole Foods, Smart & Final, Giant, A&P, Pathmark, Disney Theme-parks, Subway, Wal-Mart, and many other retailers across the U.S.. For a complete listing, please see the Store Finder.

Brothers-All-Natural has also teamed up with Disney to offer additional fun snacks.

Brothers-All-Natural sent me a variety pack of the regular Fruit Crisps, and the Mickey’s Clubhouse Fruit Crisps. I had never tried freeze-dried fruits before so I wasn’t sure what they would taste like. The first one I tried was the Fuji Apple.   I was surprised how much it tasted exactly like a fresh apple!

Sure you couldn’t feel the juice in your mouth, but taste-wise it was perfect.   Next, I tried the Apple-Cinnamon – it was the perfect amount of cinnamon.

I still have a few flavors left to try but so far they have all been delicious! I like fruit, but when I buy it fresh, it sometimes gets pushed to the back of the fridge and I forget about it.  Some fresh fruits are a little hard to eat on the go because they can be a little messy and your hands can get sticky.  These portion-controlled bags are perfect because there is no mess! No juice squirting out, no sticky hands.  Plus you don’t have to peel the apples, bananas, oranges first – just grab a bag and go!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
