I’m not really into the latest beauty crazes and have never been to the spa. Well I did have a massage twice and both times I felt so completely out of place! I am a pretty low – maintence kind of chick, but I have always wanted to get a facial because it sounds so relaxing and wonderful for your skin, but have heard horror stories of girls getting burned from peels and having bad reactions to them so I have never gotten one.
Between the harsh Rochester winds, or the heat constantly blowing, it seems like my skin is forever bound to be dry, at least until spring arrives. My skin tends to break out a lot so I have to be careful what type of moisturizes I use too. I guess overall I would describe my skin as combination – some spots are dry like the Sahara and others look like an oil slick although this week its mostly all Sahara.
At least it was, until I tried InstantPeel by Earthen! InstantPeel is a natural exfoliant that you use while taking a shower. After you let your skin steam for a few minutes to make sure your skin is moist. Open the InstantPeel packet and squeeze a small amount at a time onto your fingertips. As you massage InstantPeel onto your face and neck, individual peels of dead skin will emerge. There’s no need to rub, as with facial scrubs, and there’s no irritation or burning so often associated with glycolic acid peels, chemical skin peels or dermabrasion. Continue to massage in InstantPeel until the dead skin peeling ceases. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
I was expecting the InstantPeel to feel gritty on my skin, but it actually kind of looks and feels like milk. You only need a tiny bit for each area – a little bit surprisingly goes a very long way! I actually have a shower mirror so after each section I kept making sure that my face wasn’t having any sort of weird reaction like a rash but I had none. My skin feels SO SOFT and SMOOTH! And best of all, it doesn’t feel the slightest bit greasy (or dry for that matter).
At first I thought about $50 for 6 treatments sounded like a lot of money, but from what I hear, that is only a fraction of what a similar process would cost at a beauty salon or spa. For Oily skin they recommend using it once a week, for normal skin once every other week and for sensitive or dry skin you can use it once every three weeks.

I’m all about peels at home! I tend to get lazy about them because of the prep that goes into them so the the shower is awesome!
Thanks for the share!
I’m a very low maintenance girl too, but I would do this at home. The price sounds a little high to me too but that’s probably because Ihave no idea what it would cost in a spa.
That definitely sounds like something I could use! And I think for what it is the price is reasonable!
sounds like it is worth the money and easy to use
Thanks for stopping by my review linky on Precisely Mine. I also got to review this and loved it as well. It really does go a long way and the results are fantastic. It really is worth the price. : )
