I was recently approached by pureSOL to review their Konjac Sponge – Original for free.

pureSOL Konjac Facial Sponge Out Of BoxpureSOL Konjac Facial Sponge gently exfoliates while deep cleansing and removing any toxins and impurities, leaving you with a radiant complexion. It is extremely soft and gentle for everyday skin care. Great for extra sensitive skin including babies!

The natural woven fibers of the sponge gently massage the skin and stimulate blood flow. It detoxifies and encourages skin renewal while balancing the skins pH, leaving your skin extremely clean. This sponge claims that you will see your pores getting smaller, but I honestly didn’t notice that.

You have to soak the sponge for a few minutes in water until it is fully soft.  Then you can gently massage the sponge on your face with or with your favorite cleanser.  I like to use it without cleanser really quick, and then add my facial cleanser (Adovia Sulfur Soap with Dead Sea Salt). I have found that the sponge makes a tiny bit of cleanser go a long way!

pureSOL Konjac Facial Sponge Hanging In The ShowerThey recommend you replace the sponge every 2-3 months.  The sponge can also be sterilized every couple of weeks by boiling it in water or popping it in the microwave for one minute.

I really like that they included a suction hook, so I can just squeeze out excess water, and hang my sponge up right in the shower so it can dry.

pureSOL Konjac Sponge is completely natural, eco-friendly and free of parabens, sulphates & chemicals. It is biodegrade, cruelty free and vegan. After use, you can compost the sponge and feel good about the environment!  At pureSOL even their packaging is 90% compostable.

pureSol also makes a Konjac Facial Sponge – Activated Charcoal which I would love to try!  The added bamboo charcoal contains activated carbon and essential minerals to deeply cleanse and absorb excess sebum, toxins and other harmful chemicals from your skin.
