Safe Hands Product LineDisclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Working in a print shop, constantly handling paper, my hands can get really dry.  The last thing I want is for my hand sanitizer to dry them out any more. That is why I was thrilled when safeHands offered to send me some items for free to review.

The safeHands brand began as a dream of Founder & CEO, Dr. Jay Reubens when he set out to develop a safe and effective alternative to alcohol-based hand sanitizers.  Dr. J’s goal was to ensure that his foam-based hand sanitizer not only killed over 99.99% of germs – but that it helped soothe, nourish and preserve the skin’s natural oils. After over 60 formulations, safeHands was perfected and underwent extensive clinical testing on human hands. The science has proven safeHands to be tough on germs and safe on the skin. Dr. J, in collaboration with noted scientist, Dr. David Dyer, have developed a complete line of safe and effective hand sanitizers now sold internationally.

I got my flu shot in the fall, but that does not mean I let my guard down. I still need to protect myself from other things like stomach bugs, colds and that sort of thing.  I wash my hands frequently, and I like to keep a hand sanitizer in my purse to use when I am out shopping or running errands.

I was sent two bottles of SafeHands Classic in Cucumber Mint, and two each of SafeHands Squirts in tooty fruity and bubble gum.   SafeHands Squirts is great for kids because of the colorful formulas and scents!

The cucumber mint has a very light scent.   When the foam first came out it was white and I smelled the cucumber and as it dried I smelled more of the mint.   The bubble gum foam comes out tinted pink, which I am sure little girls would love.  I found it to have a slightly sugary, fruity smell that dissipated as it dried.  The tooty fruity was my favorite scent.  The foam comes out a light green/yellow and it smells like a fruit smoothie.

I think the fun colors and scents would make children more likely to want to use these, and since there is no alcohol, you don’t have to worry about it drying out their hands, or, God forbid,  them using it to get high. I’m sure you have heard the stories on the news about teens guzzling hand sanitizer to get high. Gross.

I really like that there is no alcohol in these sanitizers because they have not been drying my hands out.  I am going to give some of the bottles to my parents when they come up to visit because both my dad and my cousin who lives with them are on chemo, and need to take every precaution since they already have compromised immune systems.

Don’t forget to follow them on pinterest, facebook, twitter and Instagram !

UPDATE 2/5/2020:

It appears as though the Squirts line is no longer available, and that the original line is only available in clean linen, as well as fragrance-free.   You can purchase the available formulas on Amazon, or on the Safehands website.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
