Did you know that the same people that brought you the Amazing Learn to Salsa Dance DVD’s also make Salsa? The makers of the DVD’s, SalsaCrazy offered me the chance to review both the Habanero AND Serrano salsas for free!
SalsaCrazy is the world’s premier salsa dancing website. Founded in 1996, SalsaCrazy is an all-encompassing, international salsa dance company promoting salsa dance in over 40 countries around the world.
The Habanero Salsa is a delicious, hot, all-around salsa with great garden flavor and chunks of tomato, corn, and green chile. It’s not too hot to eat, and it’s packed with flavor. I like spicy foods but found that I couldn’t eat a whole bowl of this salsa, the heat seemed to intensify as I kept eating it with chips, but it tasted good so it was hard to stop!
The Serrano Salsa is the “friendlier” version of their Habanero Salsa. Made with Serrano peppers, it’s milder. The is a delicious, medium, all-around salsa with great garden flavor and chunks of tomato, corn, and green chile. This salsa I felt needed a little more heat so I might end up mixing it with the Habanero version to get a perfect combination.
I would recommend you use a scoopable type of tortilla chip when eating both of these salsas because it does tend to be a little thin – there are chunks in it, but I find scoopable chips easier to use.
