DIsclosure: I was provided free samples.

You might remember Trusted Health Products from my Ora MD. review.  This time around Trusted Health Products offered to send me a two pack set of Shake the Crave.    This two pack sample was two servings, enough to make one glass of the vanilla flavor, and one of the chocolate flavor.

Here are some benefits to Shake the Crave Shakes:Shake the Crave Packets

  • Thick and creamy – tastes like an old-fashioned, hand-dipped milk shake from a small-town creamery.
  • Experience a “new normal” in the way you feel.
  • Feel more satisfied and full longer.
  • Boost energy levels and feeling of well-being.
  • Great to drink at breakfast or lunchtime, as a healthy snack or quick meal on the go.
  • 100% pure ingredients.
  • Contains no artificial sweeteners, flavors, colors, preservatives, or isolated/synthetic vitamins.
  • No gluten, soy, egg, GMOs, high fructose corn syrup, MSG, fillers or binders.
  • Good source of protein.
  • Good source of calcium.
  • Low fat – only 0.5 grams.
  • Low sodium
  • 120 Calories

People often blame themselves for their diet failing – but more often than not, the diet fails the person, not the other way around. You see, most diet programs and products are full of processed foods and ingredients – they might encourage you to eat less food, but they totally ignore the quality of the foods you eat. This makes it harder to get the nutrients you need from real food and to achieve your goals. When you’re starving for nutrients, you have less energy and you don’t feel like exercising. When you always feel hungry, it’s easy to give into junk food cravings for the temporary lift they give you.

Most diet shakes and meal replacements are filled with things like genetically-modified ingredients (GMOs), MSG, artificial sweeteners, fillers, binders, and synthetic or isolated nutrients that provide little or no nutritional value. Besides that, these shakes don’t taste too great either. Most of them taste pretty bad. What’s the point of trying to get in better shape if you have to suffer through taking the product that is supposed to help you?

Shake the Crave is based on years of experience and research in physiology – the science of how your body works and what it needs in order to function best. Every ingredient in Shake the Crave has a common purpose: to benefit your body directly. No fillers, no fluff. Just pure ingredients working together to nourish your body and help you feel fuller longer.

Their research has shown that it’s not just about the individual ingredients, or number of ingredients, but rather about the best form of the right ingredients working together in the right combination to produce the best results for your body

They have accented this product with natural milk, cane sugar, coconut powder, and vanilla or cocoa giving you a total of 20 grams of sugar for the best possible result. This type of natural sugar converts to glucose quickly, which fuels ATP production in your body. ATP is what gives your body the energy to think, move, perform – it is the currency of your body and without it you can’t sustain life. This formulation will give you a smooth energy boost and help keep you full longer, plus it tastes great. No really, it honestly tastes great!

Diane with Shake the Crave ChocolateFirst I tried the chocolate. I was surprised how smooth the powder blended in with the milk (I used 2%).  I have tasted some of Tony’s protein shakes before and they don’t taste chocolatey at all and feel gritty. The chocolate Shake the Crave had a great chocolate flavor and was very smooth.  I had it in the morning when I got up and wasn’t hungry until my break time at work later that afternoon.   I normally do not eat breakfast, I usually just sort of snack throughout the morning and have a glass of soda so this shake was a much healthier option.

Shake the Crave is a shake mix that when mixed with milk, fruit, and/or other healthy ingredients can be consumed as a healthy snack or quick meal on the go. It is not classified as a “meal replacement” and is not to be used as a sole source of dietary calories.

Next I tried the vanilla.  I honestly wasn’t sure if I was going to like it but I was almost shocked at how good it really was. Just like the chocolate, it blended very smooth and tasted great! Again, it kept me full until my break in the late afternoon at work.
