Simply Essentials Baking Mat and Sheet Stock PhotoDisclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

We go through a lot of baking pans, they always get discolored and start cooking unevenly. When I was offered the chance to review a Simply Essentials Silicone Baking Mat and Pan Set I was thrilled.

Simply Essentials Baking Mat and Sheet This mat and pan combo will stay in good condition much longer than a traditional baking sheet because the Simply Essentials Baking Mat is non-stick and acts as a barrier between your food and the Simply Essentials Baking Sheet, allowing your baking sheets to last longer!

The mat is made of food grade silicone, is glass weaved, and BPA free!  The mat also helps the heat distribute evenly.  You also do not need to use butter, cooking spray, oil, or parchment paper for baking or roasting since this matt is non stick!

Simply Essentials Baking Mat and Sheet with uncooked chicken

I decided to make baked chicken for dinner the other night and figured it would be a great opportunity to test out our new mat and pan set.  I had bought one of those kits that has seasonings, breadcrumbs and cheese in it to coat the chicken.  I was interested to see  how easy it was to turn the chicken halfway through cooking, and if the melted cheese would get stuck to the mat.

Simply Essentials Baking Mat and Sheet with cooked chicken

Halfway through cooking, I turned the chicken and was surprised how easy it was to turn them – they weren’t stuck to the mat at all. I know when we cook using tin foil, the chicken often gets stuck to the foil when we try to turn them.

When the chicken was done cooking, despite the fact that the cheese had melted, it was really easy to remove the chicken from the mat – they weren’t stuck AT ALL!

Tony said, ” Wow that’s freaking cool, you can tell them I said that, put that in your review!”.  If you have been here a while, you may have noticed Tony rarely offers input on my reviews.  It’s not that he doesn’t have opinions, he just usually doesn’t get really excited one way or another on products.  He was surprised that not even once piece of chicken was stuck to the mat!

Clean Simply Essentials Baking Mat

To clean you just lift the mat out of the baking sheet and wash with warm soapy water. I was surprised how quickly the mat came clean! The water from the faucet pushed most of the dried cheese off, and I was able to use a sponge to wipe the rest of the mat clean!

We love this set and can’t wait to use it to cook more foods, especially cookies!

Simply Essentials would like to offer the same set I reviewed to one lucky reader! Enter below using the Giveaway Tools Form!

I need one of these! One of my biggest irritations is when I am making a good breaded chicken dish and I go to flip it or take it off the pan to eat and half the breading comes off!

I need one of these! It takes longer to clean up the mess than it does to cook.. these are awesome and I would love to less my cleaning up time and be able to enjoy eating with my loved ones.
