The LED teeth whitening system by Smile Brilliant is perfect for those who want great tooth whitening results but are on a budget. Their LED system is competitively priced ($ 39.95 for the kit I received) when compared to popular whitening strips sold at your local grocer. However, it is far more effective due to its 22% carbamide peroxide tooth whitening gel and high strength LED light which accelerate the whitening process.
This LED teeth whitening package comes with a 4ml, 22% carbamide peroxide, teeth whitening gel pen. This compact and easy to use whitening pen releases the whitening gel into a smooth brush tip applicator. As you turn the bottom of the pen, the gel is released onto the brush. You then brush the gel on your teeth, and insert the included cheek and lip protector, which keeps the gel in place. Then you turn the LED light on and put it into your mouth, against the cheek protector.
I have a hard time getting the “off” button to work on the LED light, which is a little frustrating, but I do eventually get it off.
On their website, it says normal sessions last for a minimum of 20 minutes and a maximum of 3 hours, but the flyer that came with my kit said to use it with the light for 20-45 minutes. I was using it for about 30 
minutes each treatment, because after that, my lips were getting tired of holding the light in my mouth. The flyer with my kit did not say how often you should be using this whitening treatment, so I was using it about twice a week. After a few treatments, I checked online, and it said that the average person with light to moderate stains should use the product daily for 4-7 days but those with more sever stains may need to use the product daily for up to 14 days. They say the pen should last about 7 treatments, so if you have sever stains you would have to buy another pen, which can be purchased separately.
I did not have any tooth or gum sensitivity, but they do offer a desensitizing gel, for those who do have sensitive teeth.
I never realized how hard it is to get a good picture of your teeth before this review. I knew it was going to be really hard to match the lighting, and positioning, with the before and after pictures but it ended up being harder than I thought!

I know it is hard to compare because of different lighting, but my teeth are a little bit whiter. I drink dark soda on a daily basis so keeping my teeth white is something I have always struggled with. I think if I would have used the LED Whitening Kit for 7 consecutive days, the results would have been more noticeable. I like that since it is a gel pen, you can just put it on certain teeth, or a certain spot on a tooth.
