#FreeProductReceivedNo matter how careful we all are, sometimes stains are unavoidable.  You swear you have the cap on the Gatorade bottle on tight yet you end up looking at a puddle of red. You see the cat starting to get sick so you run over to him to try to move him onto the tile, and he only runs further into the living room vomiting on the rug as he goes. (*sigh*) At least that’s how it works in our house!

Harley and Oliver have this thing lately where they are SO excited to be fed they INHALE their food and then go running around playing.  Which is all fine and dandy until one of them gets sick.

We noticed that Oliver and Harley both cannot handle cold wet food. So we warm theirs up for them and that has been helping. I also have been trying to pick up Harley’s bowl when he is about half done and make him wait a few minutes before I give him the rest. Oliver we try to get to climb the cat tree after eating because if there are no toys on it at the time, he will usually climb to the top and fall asleep for a few hours.

So Monday (Labor Day), I give the cats dinner and Harley just walks away.  I thought maybe he didn’t see me put his bowl down so I picked him up and put him back down by his bowl. He walked away again so I knew there was something wrong. I yelled for Tony to watch him while I got a roll of paper towels. Poor kitty vomitted 3 times then trotted over to his food bowl to eat. I of course picked it up because I wanted to be sure he was going to be able to hold it down first.  We realized how humid it was and thought maybe the heat and humidity was making him feel yucky so we cranked the central air and I gave Harley his food back.  So I figured it was the perfect opportunity to try Perky™ PLUS All-Purpose Stain Remover that I had to review.

I  didn’t really feel like taking pictures of cat puke, and I’m sure you will forgive me for not showing a before and after!

Perky Plus All-Purpose Stain Remover is safe for all around the house, office, car, RV, boat, or anywhere a mess may occur. Great for oil and water based stains including  cosmetics, grease, pen ink, shoe polish, paint, permanent marker and a whole lot more! Unlike other carpet stain removers that use a spray top to treat the surface of the stain, Perky stain removers fight the source of the stain in the carpet & pad with an advanced squirt top that not only dissolves the stain but also neutralizes odors on contact giving your carpet and fabrics that brand new look and smell.

Perky Plus definitely removed the stain AND the odor of the cat vomit!  I really like that I also received a Whiz Groom – Hand Held Brush! The WhizGroom is ideal for those hard to reach, tight spots in cars or furniture. It quickly loosens soil particles, lint, pet hair, and debris from upholstery and other fabrics making them easy to vacuum up.  This is going to really come in handy when we vacuum the stairs! Cat hair always seems to get stuck in the corners!

While I was cleaning the rug, I noticed Oliver chasing a ladybug around the kitchen.  Eventually the ladybug ended up by Jewels food bowl and Oliver was stalking the ladybug. Jewel was getting kind of antsy because she hadn’t noticed the ladybug and didn’t want Oliver near her bowl.  She finally spotted the ladybug and went after it.  Jewel tried to eat it and promptly spit it out Then she got tiny bit sick herself, but went right back to eating her food.  Oliver started chasing the ladybug again, which had somehow survived, and not wanting to clean up a 3rd mess, I caught the ladybug and put it outside. Luckily it was just a tiny spot on the tile so it was easy to clean up!

I have a pair of jeans that have a big oil/grease stain on the knee from work. No matter how careful I am, I always manage to get something one me at work.  Im not even sure how I got this particular stain, but I obviously kneeled in a puddle of  either fuser oil, or gear grease… or both. I tried all kinds of detergents and dish soaps and nothing could get the stain out. I just saved those jeans for the weekends at work, or for days I knew I before hand that I was going to get really dirty.

I was getting ready for work and noticed the stained jeans in my closet. I figured what the heck and poured some Perky Plus All-Purpose Stain Remover on the stain. I decided to use the Whiz Groom to really work  the Perky into the jeans.  I didn’t happen to have a clean towel handy and was feeling pretty lazy, so I just rinsed  jeans in the kitchen sink and let them air dry over night.

Much to my surprise, the stain was almost gone! I think one more try and It will be gone completely! I can’t wait to try the Perky Plus on other jeans that have smaller stains on them!  Check out the before and after pictures below!
