Monday, Dec. 17, is this year’s designated “Free Shipping Day,” when many retailers offer free shipping with delivery promised by Christmas Eve (Monday, Dec. 24). So far, roughly 1,400 retailers, including national chains and small independent stores, are participating, but the number is expected to climb to 2,000!
While most participating stores will offer free shipping on all orders, and some will even have other discounts on top of the free shipping, not all merchants will have free shipping on everything. Some stores may have a free shipping offer that requires a minimum purchase or only applies to certain items. To participate in Free Shipping Day a merchant must include some kind of free shipping with delivery by Christmas Eve.
