On this Wordless Wednesday I wanted to share some pictures of a new friend we have in our backyard! This female mallard duck showed up one day with a very protective male at our bird feeder. We only see the male once in a great while now, but the female comes almost every day. Oliver clearly smells food and wants nothing more to be allowed out to attack her. Jewel and Harley could care less about this large bird that visits our back yard.
So cute!!!! I love WW posts with animals in them 🙂
thanks, animals always catch my attention too!
Great pics! Happy WW & thanks for stopping by!
Great photo moments, come and visit to see our baby ducklings.

So cute! We have lots of mallards where I love. Always nice to see the ducks strolling around 🙂
That duck is such a tease!
That’s really neat that duck comes to your feeder to eat 🙂
Thanks for linking up for WW!
So cute! I love the look on your cat’s face!
Do you think mama duck has laid some eggs near by and baby ducklings might show up? That would really give the kitties a good show. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at http://www.TheCatOnMyHead.com, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
we do think she has eggs/babies nearby! we are about a 2 mile from a lake to our north and there are lots of parks around that might have little ponds – or she could have just set up a home in a neighbors backyard!
Fab photos! Thanks for linking up! x
I can feel the tension in your cat wanting to get outside, LOL. Great pictures!
Nice duck!
Cats versus ducks- bet that’s interesting to watch.

Oh, wow, mallards! We see adults, but never the ducklings. How lucky are you!
very cute 🙂
She’s a pretty girl!
So cute! My cats like to watch the bunnies in the yard. They sit in the window and meow pitifully while the bunnies taunt them. 🙂
I love ducks! Many years ago, when I lived out in the country, I used to own both chickens and ducks. Both were amusing in their own ways.
Those are silly crazy pics. I love ducks! There is something fun and interesting about them. They don’t have any front hands or claws like other animals.
