If you are anything like me it is almost Christmas and you haven’t finished shopping yet. We recently received an item at a discount to review that I think would be a great stocking stuffer for anyone who has hobbies that take them outdoor! In the interest of full disclosure i need to mention that this post contains affiliate links.
The item we received was a kit from DYXFIT that contains:
- Lightweight Waterproof Travel Mat which you can use as a:
- Rain Poncho
- Beach Mat
- Picnic Blanket
- Table cloth
- Seat Cover
- Or you can use the provided ropes to build a tent, or sun shield
- Stakes
- Rope
- Emergency Blanket
- Emergency Reflective Wrist / Ankle Bands
- Carry pouch with Carabiner
The travel mat is strong but smooth and is puncture & tear resistant, as well as water repellent! The mat is big enough for two adults laying down, or 4 adults sitting. It folds up easily into the carrying pouch which can attach to a belt loop or backback via the Carabiner
The emergency blanket helps you stay SAFE in unexpected/extreme situations. Waterproof and windproof, it preserves body heat, preventing hypothermia and shock. Last spring we had an ice storm. My car ended up in a shallow ditch. I have AAA so I called for help and they told me there were a lot of accidents, and since I wasn’t hurt I was a low priority but I was on their list. I happened to be around the corner from my house, so I knew what cross streets I was between so they could easily find me. Thankfully a bunch of people stopped to see if I was ok, and I was actually able to get out of my car and sit in someone elses until the AAA tow truck arrived. But what If I was in an unfamiliar area and wasn’t sure where I was? What if It was freezing out? The blanket could be a life saver!
The reflective arm/wrist/leg/ankle band ensure 360 degrees visibility in low light conditions, being great for Walking, Running, Cycling, Hiking. I always worry that what if I break down and am trying to change a flat or check my engine at night – These bands area easy to quick put on your wrists or ankles to ensure you can be seen. I do have the emergency triangles in my trunk, but what if something happened walking to my trunk? I am keeping this whole kit in my glove box since there are so many different uses for it!
