Swanson Health Products recently let me pick out $25 worth of products to review! It took me a while to figure out what I was going to pick to review but I finally decided on: Biotin Shampoo w/Silica, Migraine Headache Relief, Triple Strength Melatonin 10 MG, and Liv-A-Littles Chicken Treats (I can’t forget about my kitties!).

The first item I opened was the Liv-A-Littles Chicken Treats. I really had no choice. As soon as I opened the box that contained all the items, the cats dug through, found the container of treats and proceeded to try to get it open.

It was really hard to get a picture of them eating the treat because they pretty much INHALE them. Since they are freeze-dried treats they sort of crumble when the cats bite into them, but they don’t seem to mind at all. These treats are made with White Meat Chicken – that’s it. Seriously! I feel better giving the cats healthy treats. Harley and Jewel have both lost weight since we switched them to healthier foods, so I’m glad we found some healthy treats to round out their diet!

Next up was the Triple Strength Melatonin 10 MG. I was a little leery of trying it because many sleep aids I have tried in the past have either left me very groggy in the morning or just plain didn’t work. I have trouble falling asleep, staying asleep and getting moving in the morning. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I work 12 hour shifts three days a week and my days off I stay up late and sleep in. I have tried the Triple Strength Melatonin 10 MG multiple times since they arrived and I am very happy to report that they worked WONDERS. About a half hour after taking one I start feeling ready for bed. Not necessarily sleepy but definitely more relaxed and calm. Once I fall asleep I have been sleeping through the entire night for the most part. Sometimes Harley decides to bother us but I was able to fall back asleep pretty quick on the nights that he did wake me. In the morning I wake up without that groggy, hungover feeling that most pills cause. I have also taken it very late at night and was still able to wake up for work on time without feeling groggy. It also feel like I wake up in a better mood whenever I have taken it the night before. I’m guessing it is because I have actually slept good! As for the Biotin Shampoo w/Silica I’m going to have to give it mixed reviews. I had never tried a natural shampoo before, so I don’t know if all natural shampoos are low sudsing but this one definitely does not suds up. At first I just didn’t think I was using enough, but now I am starting to get used to it not being sudsy. I massage it into my scalp and then wash the rest of my body before I rinse it out. I can honestly say that my hair has a lot more shine! Since it doesn’t have a matching conditioner, when I get out, I just use a tiny bit of my Got 2b Smooth Operator Smoothing Lustre Lotion because my hair tends to be very dry

if i don’t use something. I still need a haircut because my hair is getting too long but I have noticed that my hair is starting to have more body and “bounce” to it! A lot of the reviews on their website say that the longer you use Biotin Shampoo w/Silica the better your results will be so I look forward to continuing to use it.

I only tried the Migraine Headache Relief once and I didn’t really notice a difference. This all-natural formula is free of aspirin, acetaminophen and caffeine. I think that particular migraine might have been triggered by lack of caffeine so I would definitly be willing to try Migraine Headache Relief again. I actually really like how it just dissolves on my toungue – no water needed. Best of all, it really doesn’t have any taste! I plan on keeping the bottle in my purse because my migraines often strike when I am out shopping, or at work and dont necisarily have access to a drink to help me swallow a pill.
