New Purex® plus Clorox 2® detergent works on 100 stains!

  • Removes starchy stains like chocolate and tomato sauce
  • Removes protein-based stains like grass and blood
  • Removes food stains that use guar gum like ice cream and BBQ sauce

Purex® plus Clorox 2® is available in two fragrances: Original Fresh and Sunny Linen.

Normal Use – Follow washing machine instructions for adding detergent

For Tough Stains – Pretreat by applying some detergent directly to stains and rub into fabric. Allow formula to sit on stains for 5 minutes. For added power, use ¾ cap of detergent in wash.

As a member of Social Insiders  I was selected to try Purex® plus Clorox 2® for free. I had used this detergent for a few weeks and realized, we hadn’t had any tough stains to really put this detergent to the test. I decided to see how Purex® plus Clorox 2® would handle my sneakers.  My sneakers were white when I bought them, but eventually I started wearing them to work  (A Commercial Print shop).  It wasn’t long before I got toner, fuser fluid, grease and normal dirt/dust on them. Sneakers Dirty

I took the laces out, and put them in a lingerie bag so they didn’t get tied around the towels I was going to add into the washer with my sneakers. Before I could get the laces into the lingerie bag, Oliver tried to claim them as his new toy. Oliver playing with shoelaces

I washed my sneakers with the casual setting, on a cold wash.  I was afraid if I used hot, my sneakers might shrink a little.

When they came out they were cleaner, but I remembered that the bottle said for tough stains to pretreat by applying some detergent directly to stains and rub into fabric.  I did that, and ended up letting my sneakers sit, pre-treating overnight because I forgot to go back downstairs to start the washing machine. I washed them again on the casual setting in a cold wash and the results were amazing.

See the before and after pictures!

Sneakers Before and After All Sides Collage Are they as white as the day I bought them, no, but are they a heck of a lot cleaner – YES!  The results were better than I expected because I know how hard it is to get out any stain set by fuser fluid.  Any toner or dirt we have on our shoes  or clothing usually gets set if we get any fuser fluid in the same spot.

My toughest stains right now are grease splatters when I’m cooking and my husband’s greasy clothes.

Grass stains are very common because of the amount of time I spend doing yard work and that the kids spend rolling around in the grass.

My worst stains are mud and grass. With my dogs always jumping and bringing in mud, I’m always washing.

With a newborn, I’m having such a hard time finding something to take out diaper blow out stains from breast milk. I’ve tried so many things and nothing works yet.

My daughter’s jeans always have grass stains, especially on the knees. They are so hard to get out.
