Rice Cookers, What a Time Saver
This Review & Giveaway is brought to you by
My Vegan Gluten Free Life
My father died when I was a toddler. My mother remarried a man from Hawaii. My new step father’s life was so much different from our “german” lifestyle. It is very interesting now as look back on it, seeing how my mother blended a german cuisine with an asian-hawaiian cuisine. I must say she didn’t give up much of the german food but we did learn about asian cooking. One thing my step father had was a rice cooker and we had never seen or used one before knowing him. As a child growing up with my step father we always had a rice cooker to use! My mom would look forward to visits from my step dad’s merchant marine friend. He always brought us something from the orient and always brought my mom the newest design in a rice cooker. I never knew how to cook rice in a kettle and still don’t! Rice cookers are so fabulous….rice and water IN and vwella…perfect rice every time! Now the rice cooker models are amazing and can cook brown rice and steam and some even double as a crock pot!
I am very happy to be able to offer ONE of the readers of My Vegan Gluten Free Life and Me, Him and the Cats the chance to WIN a rice cooker! If you never have used one you really need to try one. And if you have tried one….one rice cooker is never enough!

I like to make steamed vegetables and I also love my chinese and indiian food and other flavorful food and with me getting married it will come in handy bcause he is big on fish where as I am big on other food so we can have our happy compromise and still eat together
I have a friend that has a rice cooker and the rice comes out perfect every time. The rice is always so fluffy and just a joy to eat. Once in a blue moon do I ever get rice to come out even close to the way it should be. If I had a rice cooker I would have a lot more brown rice in my menus.
I cook alot of rice so hopefully it will be time saving
