Way to often I have bought my cats a new bed and they were more interested in sleeping in the box, then on the bed itself.  Eventually we throw the box out and they start sleeping on the bed.

Now that Harley is getting older, I want him to have a comfortable bed to lay on. I had been looking into getting some sort of Orthopedic type bed for him. Comfort & Relax reached out to me and wanted to know if they had anything I would like to review.  They specialize in mattress, mattress topper, and pillows.  I checked to see if they happened to have pet beds and was thrilled that they did. The Comfort & Relax Pet Bed/Mattress Filled in Shredded Memory Foam -Non-Slip Bottom shipped really fast and I was eager to see if the cats would lay on it right away.

I chose this bed for a few different reasons, one of which was that it had premium Shred-Tech Foam which would offer my cats extra support when they lay down. The Premium shredded foam will let my pets feel its softness and ventilation.

The waterproof oxford cloth bottom will keep your floor clean, and the washable cover protects  from spills and urine.

So what did my cats think?

As soon as I set it down, Oliver claimed the bed as his own.

Oliver lays on this bed ALL the time! Harley only gets to lay in it if Oliver falls asleep in our pantry looking out the back window.  If Oliver sees Harley laying on it, he will wrestle him until Harley gives up and moves.

We ordered the smallest bed they offer (22″ x 16″) and it is the perfect size for a cat – even for Oliver who is weighing in around 16 pounds these days.

The pet bed is available in a variety of sizes to fit all sized pets.

Available Sizes:

  • Small (22 x 16 inches)
  • Small to Medium (28 x 18 Inch)
  • Medium (34 x 22 inches)
  • Large (40 x 26 inches)
  • Extra Large (46 x 28 inches)

It is hard to get a good picture of Harley laying on the bed because he is always rolling around on it. I think he is just trying to get his sent on it, in the hopes Oliver will choose a different spot to sleep.

We keep this pet bed on the floor in our living room in front of our entertainment center, because the cats like to be in the same room as us. I do wish the cover was available in other colors – right now its only offered in grey. It’s not a huge deal breaker, as I am just happy the cats finally actually use a pet bed I got for them!

Considering how much my cats sleep on their Comfort and Relax bed, it has me thinking I should get a human sized one for Tony and I!  Our current mattress is over 10 years old. I sort of have my eye on their Sleep Comfort Memory Foam Hybrid Mattress, 13” H, Queen which has 5 different layers to give you support! I could even go with the Cr Comfort & Relax Cr 3 Inch Gel-Infused Memory Foam Mattress Topper, AirCell Technology, Soft, Queen  to see if a new topper could make our bed comfortable again!

We were just saying that of all the things we’ve ever bought for our pets, the cat beds are the items they seem to enjoy the most. Sleep means a lot to cats, as does comfort, and when pets get older they deserve an especially comfortable bed.

I love your cats! I am not sure if my cat would use one, he loves to sleep in the bed with my husband and me.
