While we haven’t had a snowy or really rainy Buffalo Bills game yet this year, it has happened many times before.  Of course during the games I am taking pictures and posting them on social media, texting friends who are watching the game and using my phone to check out of town scores.  When its raining or snowing hard I get really nervous that my phone is going to get too wet, and get damaged, so I usually leave it in my bag.  Sometimes I miss out on a great photo opportunity!  I have always wanted one of the water proof cases I have seen in stores, but most brands don’t make one that fits my older android phone, an LG Optimus Showtime. The price of water proof cases is quite expensive as well.

Certified to 100 FeetWhen I saw that Kobert was looking for reviewers for their waterproof case, I jumped at the chance.  I was sent a Kobert Waterproof Case for free, to review.

The Kobert Waterproof Case will keep your phone dry while you tailgate, swim, ski, hike, surf, canoe, snowboard, jetski, fish, snorkel etc. This provides you freedom to take your mobile phone with you wherever you are.

This case will also work with any other small items you need to keep dry/sand/dirt free.  Both sides of the bag are clear, to allow both your front and rear facing cameras to work.  While the plastic is thick enough to stop water from getting in, I had no trouble using the touch screen through the case.  The case comes with a removable neck strap for easy carrying as well as a stylus pen.

Some phones like the Iphone 6 will not fit inside this case if they already have a case on them.  There is a Question and Answer page on Koberts Amazon page that lets you know whether or not specific phones need to have their regular case removed before being placed into the waterproof case. Inner bag size: is 3.34″ x 6.49″ (8.5cm x 16.5cm).Compatible Phones and Locking Mechanism

They recommend placing tissue paper into the case, and submerging it for 5 minutes to check for any leaks.  If there are any, they will gladly replace the item. I shoved a paper towel in the case and submerged it in a big bowl of water to check for any leaks.  I was pretty skeptical but the paper towel came out dry!OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

The clips used to seal the bag closed take a bit to get used to, but once you figure it out, you wont have any trouble.  Next I put my phone in the case and submerged that in the bowl of water.  Im, not going to lie, I had a HUGE knot in my stomach as it sat there in the bowl! But, in the end, my phone was dry!  Check out the video below!

I wouldn’t go swimming with the phone around my neck in the case, because I would be too nervous, but my phone did stay dry even after being submerged in water for over a minute.  I will mostly use this when we are outside in the snow (shoveling, playing), tailgating in the rain and snow and at the beach / lake.

Remember what I said about water proof cases being expensive? This one is very affordable, and would make a great stocking stuffer! Check the Amazon widget below for current pricing!

Kobert also makes a iPhone 5 & 6 Premium Universal Arm Band Sport Strap For Athletes !

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
